How to deal with acne + my acne story/journey

Hi guys,

My friend told me to do a more talky post so that's what I'm doing. So I'm going to tell you about when my acne started and how I coped with it and I'm going to give you guys some tips about it.

So my acne started in year 6 which was 3 - 4 years ago so I would have been 9 - 10 and at first I wasn't really bothered because I thought it was normal as my body was developing aswell and it didn't bother me. But then I realised I was the only one getting spots but as I was still young I acted as if it was normal because I still had all my friends and it didn't worry me.

Then when I went up to year 7 it got slightly worse and I got a bit more self conscious about it and I thought that I wasn't normal because nobody else had spots and acne. It seemed as though everyone else was perfect then there was me but I got through it. Also during this time I went to the doctors to see what they could do but that didn't help it just made it worse. I got through that year though and it was fine.

In year 8 again it started getting slightly worse and it seemed uncontrollable. I then got slightly more self conscious about it and would wear my hair more down but I then met my real friends who I'm still friends with now and I started to feel more accepted into this society at school and when the summer came my acne got better and I got more confident.

I'm now in year 9 and I still have acne, I'm still self conscious but I'm dealing with it. Also I get very self conscious when presenting because I feel like everyone is judging me and that's when I start shaking and can't breathe but I've got friends to help me with that so its ok. I'm now at that point where I care but not as much as I did although I'm still very self conscious and wear my hair down more so you can't see it as much but I'm ok about that. I have friends that help me through and tell me I look fine which is amazing and I know what works for my skin and what doesn't.

So there's my acne story guys... Sorry it's so long. Now onto the tips -

- Don't be scared to try new products.
- Keep your skin clean.
- Try not to touch your face too much throughout the day.
- Try not to stress out too much as this can cause outbreaks.
- Surround yourself with people that are nice to you and that compliment you.
- Don't use too much makeup.

So that's it guys.

Thanks for reading.
